A statement finish that ages beautifully, fabricated and installed by sheet metal craftsmen.

Copper is the finishing touch on a home built to stand out. It starts with a warm, bright shine and weathers over time into a rich patina. Liberty Sheet Metals hand-fabricates copper gutters, downspouts, and architectural details for custom homes, historic renovations, and anyone who wants their exterior to feel one-of-a-kind.

Half-round copper gutters are a classic and our most common profile, but we can fabricate copper gutters in any profile. We pair them with copper downspouts, leader heads, and custom scuppers, on new builds or added to an existing home on their own.

Copper downspouts, leader heads, and scuppers turn drainage into a design feature, especially on traditional and historic homes.

Chimney caps, cupolas, bay roofs, finials, leader heads, vent covers, ridge caps, porch covers, and full copper roofs, fabricated in our shop and installed by the same team. Recent work includes copper roofs and chimney caps on a winery in Sherwood and a copper porch cover in Beaverton.

New copper is bright and reflective. Over time it darkens to a warm brown and, eventually, can develop the blue-green patina copper is famous for. Timing varies with exposure, so every installation ages a little differently.
Mostly half-round, the classic copper profile, but we can fabricate any profile.

Copper is one of the longest-lasting gutter materials available. It doesn't rust, and properly installed copper gutters can last 100 years or more.
Runoff from copper can leave green or brown staining on light-colored stone, stucco, or masonry over time. We plan downspout placement and drainage to keep runoff away from surfaces where staining would be a concern.
We don't run unlike metals together. Copper and steel in contact, or copper runoff onto steel, cause galvanic corrosion (electrolysis). Steel gutters get matching steel downspouts, and copper stays with copper.
