Metal Roofing Built for the Pacific Northwest

Standing seam and mechanical seam roofing systems, custom fabricated and installed by a team that does nothing but metal.

Standing seam metal roof on a two-story home in Lake Oswego, OR

Liberty Sheet Metals has installed metal roofs across Oregon and Washington for more than 30 years. We don't split our attention between asphalt shingles, tile, and metal. Metal is all we do, and that focus shows up in the details: clean seams, straight lines, and flashing that keeps Northwest rain where it belongs.

Building a custom home, replacing a worn-out composition roof, or roofing a commercial building? We'll help you choose the panel, material, and color, then fabricate and install it with the precision a long-term roof demands. On a replacement, we always tear off the old roof first; we never install metal over it.

Steel vs. Aluminum

We install 24-gauge panels in both steel and aluminum. Steel is the most common choice for residential roofs: strong, cost-effective, and available in a wide range of colors. Aluminum doesn't rust, which makes it a good fit near the coast or in high-moisture environments. We'll recommend the right material for your building and budget.

  • Steel: strong and cost-effective
  • Aluminum: won't rust
  • Aluminum suits coastal homes
  • Wide range of colors

Why Metal in Oregon & Washington

Built to shed heavy rain, resist moss buildup better than composition shingles, and handle wind, snow, and temperature swings. A metal roof typically lasts about 70 years, and up to 100 when it's well maintained. The paint finish is covered by the paint manufacturer's warranty.

  • Resists moss buildup
  • Handles wind and snow
